Annual review
Arts and Business are an organisation that works nationally
to develop partnerships between commerce and culture.
They connect companies and individuals to cultural
organisations. We worked with them to design their annual
review for 2010/2011.

Transformation
As an organisation Arts & Business are going through a period
of change. The board has restructured, they have moved offices
and have formed a partnership with Business in the Community.

Concept
To reflect these changes our concept centered around a theme
of transformation. Transformation is a key theme in the work that
Arts & Business do but also encapsulates what is happening to
the organisation.

Imagery was selected from the Arts & Business online resource
'Visual'. The images are featured throughout the document with
a graphic treatment that blends one image into the next creating
visual transformations.

Key highlights and achievements are emphasised throughout
the review and tints are used to differentiate the arts members
and business members lists.

Amazon printed communications
Amazon is an exhibition in aid of the Sky Rainforest Rescue
project with photography from renowned documentary
photographer Sebastião Salgado and Per-Ander Petterson.

It is the first exhibition to be held in the refurbished east
wing at Somerset House and features stunning large format
prints from the Acre region in Brazil. We designed all of the
exhibition graphics, marketing items and exhibition guide.

Exhibition guide
The exhibition guide was produced to help visitors orientate
themselves in the space and provides an introduction and
overview of the Sky Rainforest Project. The work of each
photographer is introduced alongside a numbered floorplan
of the gallery space.

The numbers on each plan relate to captions in the guide
that are accompanied by thumbnails of selected photography.

Map
The map that featured in the exhibition is included on a fold
out on the inside back cover of the guide.

Exhibition poster and postcard
The marketing poster and postcard feature one of Sebastião
Salgado's iconic black and photographs.

Private investment in culture report
Arts & Business are an organistation that works nationally to develop
partnerships between commerce and culture, connecting companies
and individuals to artists and cultural organisations. Every year as part
of their research programme a report is produced to document private
investment. We designed the edition for 2009/2010.

Information design
To bring the information to life and reinforce the connections between
Art and Business, we identified the four key tables and charts. These
were created out of textured card and colour acetates and photographed
against a light box creating a vibrant, textured set of charts that were
placed as a 4 page section at the centre of the document. A location
map was also created. Photographs of the process are used for the
document's cover.

Content
The main content of the document utilises the grid system from the
Arts & Business guidelines and makes strong use of scale and colour
to bring clarity and hierarchy to the information.
